For over 30 years, the Keskorie/We Le Dai team has provided medical travel guests with full-service boarding in Yellowknife. Our guest services include room accommodation, food service, housekeeping, laundry facilities, translation, and shuttle services.

Whether for an unplanned event or a scheduled appointment, thousands of Northwest Territories residents travel to Yellowknife each year to access medical care at Stanton Territorial Hospital and local health clinics. From the moment our guests arrive in Yellowknife to when they return to their communities, they are taken care of by our highly trained and compassionate staff.

The Management Team oversees the daily operations at the Keskorie Boarding Home, including:

  • The Reception Team welcomes guests and arranges transportation to and from their appointments and the airport.

  • Nutritious meals are served every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with snacks and drinks always available - all compliments of the Kitchen Team.

  • A dedicated team of housekeepers and janitorial staff ensures the accommodations are clean and comfortable.

  • Security staff ensure our guests’ safety during their stay.

  • Our drivers welcome guests at the airport and ensure they make it to their appointments on time throughout their stay.

Our Facility

A modern four-story building with a sign that reads 'Keskorie Boarding Home.' The building has brown, cream, and gray exterior panels, with several windows and a small balcony. A white van with the same branding is parked in front.

We Le Dai team members began welcoming medical boarding guests at the Keskorie Boarding Home in December 2022. This facility was previously a hotel, which Det'on Cho purchased in late 2021 and renovated to ensure that guests are more comfortable and safer than ever before. This facility can accommodate up to 62 guests, allowing our team to host additional medical travel guests from across the NWT.

A contribution from Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor) helped Det’on Cho build a viable business case, resulting in a facility that supports medical travellers and sustains long-term Northern and Indigenous employment.

NOTE:

All Keskorie boarding home reservations are handled through NTHSSA Medical Travel. Our Keskorie team is unable to make or amend reservations. Please contact NTHSSA Medical Travel or your local healthcare provider if you have questions.
