New Air Ambulance Contract

The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority has renewed its air ambulance contract with an expanded consortium of northern companies. Access Air Ambulance — previously a partnership between Air Tindi and Advanced Medical Solutions — now includes the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation, Det’on Cho Group of Companies, and Aklak Air. The 10-year agreement, awarded through a competitive process, will continue to provide over 1,600 medevac flights annually to communities without advanced healthcare or road access. Air Tindi president Chris Reynolds said the expanded partnership showcases Indigenous collaboration, operational excellence, and a commitment to community-focused care across the territory.
