  Job Description Under the supervision and direction of the Chef Manager and/or the 1st Cook, a General Helper is a rotational (2x2) position, responsible for assisting the kitchen staff. This position aids in the daily preparations of the meals, cleaning, sanitizing all food service areas, food preparation, service utensils, flatware, china, setup, maintenance, cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and service islands.
  Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following:
· A minimum of 1-year experience;
· Must hold a current food safe, standard first aid and WHMIS certificates and update this
certification regularly;
· Must be able to complete all assigned tasks in time frame allotted by the Chef Manager and/or
the 1st Cook;
· Knowledge of sandwich preparation procedures and over all hospitality service is an asset;
· Must have a clear understanding of all food service equipment to include but not limited to,
(meat slicer, buffalo choppers, ovens, mixers, dishwasher etc.), as well as maintain corporate
safe work procedures, in the operation of such equipment;
· Able to follow supervisor’s instructions and maintain a positive work ethic;
· Must be able to spend a 12 hour shift entirely on your feet, and
· Must assist team in cleaning dining room and kitchen area once production ends and kitchen
